Thanks to all for the advice on how to loot the coast. Our trip was fun and if we had a few more days It would have crippled us for life. That sand digging can take a toll on and old coot. In 2 days I found $10 in coin and three rings, (one silver with a tourq. stone, one gold plated with a diamond and an all gold with a heart shape on top). It was a cool experience and we may make another trip next year.
