While Chief is working on that there won't be any 'today's bling post' from yesterday's hunt and maybe not today either because of rain. Yesterday I was distracted by a guy who saw me in the park from the road and ask to join me. He pulled this filthy dirt encrusted old whites DFX something from his van and we worked together side by side.
I explain to him 'Don' that I was on a ring a day hunt and he talked about great places to go. Don had some experience as I notice he only used a screw driver and my sack of junk was collecting fast as his wasn't even taking pull tabs (he just let me know where they were)
Not believing him I would dig them anyway and yes they were pull tabs arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !
I am not able to have conversation with anyone for more that 10 minutes without I'm talking about Jesus so I find out quickly Don is angry at God and the Catholic Church over his recent divorce and annulment. The parade of witnesses and testimony from friends and family was too much for the old guy. So I see where God is going with me and accept the challenge without question but then Lucifer puts the hit on his machine for a nice silver ring and Don tosses it at me saying "is this what you are looking for"
I think I will hang with him for a while, We are doing a old school today if weather permits. He promised to get me in a water park after the season is over (that's a gold mine he usually keeps to him self) but I said he could have everything I find because I will never have the connections to get in anyway (my evil plan is he will soften on that by then) Will he come to my evangelical free Church? i don't know... he better! He's got 20 years on me and I can be very persistent. He said his daughter is looking for a Church so I will take him up on that for now. I'm too blunt and too new as a Christian to recruit for Jesus properly but I have no pride and I'm not ashamed. I have been very, very lucky I'm not in prison or dead so that's my driving force. I read the Bible three times and one thing is clear... we have one job to do and it take priority over whatever else is going on when He places a situation before us. I WILL do that job even if I didn't get the Bling yesterday

But when I was a Deputy Sheriff I would witness to the person or person's [/size] that I had Arrested while carrying them back to the jail,sometime I would have them say "I don't wont to hear this,but I had them in the back seat,handcuff,so they had no where to go so they had to listen to me. After being Retired for Five yrs I have had some call me and a few even came by my house and thank me. It always make me feel good when that happen........

I could see how that would be an effective use of time... I like the police, I could have easily been a cop. Training over rides shyness so you must have been well suited. But let me get this straight, you confess shyness as your life long hurdle, that's the cross God gave you to carrry, that is what comes to mind first? I think I will trade you because having an eye for the ladies is awful, especially in the summer. I can't find programing on TV that is suitable so I don't watch much but news and even that makes me want to go blind. It's hard brother to look away, to not notice, to fail every single day. Yea, give my anything other than lust for one of God's most beautiful creations. He really didn't have to make them so desirable. I'm in good company when I read even some angels couldn't resist and dropped down for a little action now and then.

We need Jesus to trust and lean on to endure and overcome all things! We have trials and thorns are among the beautiful flowers to get our attention and when they do, if truly saved in Jesus, we will quickly pray and ask His forgiveness when we have done something wrong or just trust Him more and more to be more than overcomers in every trial and sorrow that do and will come to each one in this old sinful world!
