We took a trip down state so Sherry could fellowship with the ladies of the church we left when we moved up here. Casey got to see her best friend Anna and I went metal detecting at an elementary school.
There were several kids playing in the playground. There is another section of playground where some older kids were attempting to damage the equipment. Love wearing my hat with the badge on it...the kids left and other kids then came out to play in safety as there was now a grown up on the property.
At first I had several kids talking to each other about what I was doing then a couple came to watch then several came and were asking questions and then a group of about 10 kids were gathered around so it was difficult to swing the coil.
It got to a point that I was able to find something and tell them "there is something there" and they all started digging with their hands while I wandered a few feet the other way and dug a coin for myself before returning to the 'mob'. I gave up after a short while. Just too many kids and no room to swing.
Here is what I was able to take from the playground:

I did score a small piece of jewelry which says JULIE

As I mentioned in my previous post, I always like to see what surprise God gives me to say "Pete, I am here".
In the picture to the left of the Julie thing is a very small cross. It isn't one I detected. As I was digging for a coin it was in the wood chips where I was digging. I don't believe in 'coincidences'.It is the kind of material they make shiny metal looking confetti out of so it is probably plastic and undetectable with the detector.
I did get a Wheat penny out of my pouch when taking out the other coins and goodies. Not sure if it is one I got at the playground there or if it might have been one I missed removing from the pouch on one of my Stone School hunts. Its a 1941.
Everytime I get down state I realize how much I dislike being down there and am so glad to get back home up here. Thank you God.
