Went back to the old ballfield to try out my new 8x6 coil. I had kind of a iffy signal, but decided to dig, Flipped the plug over & stuck in the Pistol Probe, since my X1 isnt here yet.The probe went off so I dug off to the side so I wouldn't scratch anything. I hit something & it was the Washington. I put a deep scratch on her backside.Kept digging &out come a nail & a bent piece of wire. The dimes didn't have anything in the hole with them. I was very impressed with the coil

Congrats on your ballfield finds, Stubbs!

If you had the X1, you would not have scratched your Washington. That's the problem when you're using a hand held probe without the tones of an inline, and when there's multiple targets in the hole. Hope you get your X1 soon!

The 8x6 is definitely a "keeper"!!

Stubbs, When I have to loosen more dirt in the hole I use a long tine from a set of deer antlers, It's not as hard as a coin so it won't scratch them. I haven't put a mark on a silver since I started using it. The probelm with mine is that it's got a pretty good curve to it and it's not quite long enough.:rage: ( That didn't come out right.) Just a thought.

Nice finds, congrats on the multi-silver day.
Steve
