Detecting in Mexico

My family and I are going down to Mexico in February and I was wondering if any of you have had any experiences detecting in Mexico? We're going to Manzanillo, so I'd consider beach detecting. I live in the Midwest so I don't get the chance to hunt the beach too often. Thanks!
