So not far from my home I have a very HUGE open area probably 20 acres with many trees, a dried river and dirt roads where people go off roading and riding motorcycles.
I am wanting to go search the area but I have been skeptical because the finds may be minimal. I was wandering if some of you have been to areas like this, have there been better finds than parks, beaches , front yards old schools?

After reading my post... I realized, DUH! It's a great please to hunt...is there anyway of deleting a topic?

It sounds like a great place..and if it's an old area it will be outstanding potential for you. Be careful and don't get hit by an ATV or bike ..Make sure riders can see you.

Thank you for keeping me aware of the riders, I'll wear my safety vest from work.

I say the odds would be highly in your favor. Why don't you work that place over really thorough and let us know how you did. I say the chance is pretty good of you making some finds especially if it has been used for a long time.

Isn't fishin all about the time spent rather than the catch? :detecting:
