Whent detecting with my 13 year old son Brandon at a park on friday he asked to use my minelab xs
instead of his tosoro compadre.
lucky bugger in the span of 5 min he gets a 1800? small nickle (vicky) at 6" and a silver braclet at 3 " he does find the minelab a little heavy but he sure likes how easy it finds the old stuff
this is his third time using it about 4h total and every time the coins get older.
looks like Im dew for a new detector.
the two dimes and weat I found at a vacant lot that use to have a girst mill on the site untill the 1960s
the same day. of course near a big old tree. only spent 1/2 h there due to time. so I will go back again.

When we whent out togather and I was finding deep coins 8-10" range and he could not, it frustrated him so I switched with him and he now loves the explorer. so I will have to buy a new xsII for me in the new year. I will get him a swingie thing to help with the weight.
