Had a problem with my detector for a little while but been using it still but trying not to bump the coil too much as it kept beeping changed to another coil same promlem wiggle cable at contol box and that was ok.
Narrowed it down to control box if i tapped the control box moderately with my hand the detector would beep. Detector out of warranty so i took control box apart notice a little mud inside so i brushed the circuit board and other areas wiggled the 3? connector plugs inside and made sure they were fully home. Put back together problem now sorted detector back to normal:smileI i think the mud got in there through the headphone socket ,must make sure headphone jack plug is clean before putting it into detector.
I think the problem was most likely one of the plug connection inside wiggling them probably broke free the corrosion making a better connection.
