I figure he is looking for the original hard copy manuals for the machines not the digitial copies. Some folks still like holding the manual in their hands and reading it. Others just because they want all the original stuff. Thats why i figure he is looking for any magazines that had stories or field test reports about them.

I did have that spectrum at one time, along with the manual. Sold it and the manual with it, a long time ago. Wish I could help. Never had the fisher. A friend did though, and he swore by it.

I suggest you contact whites and fisher both. They might have original hard copies of the manuals that you could get. Doesnt hurt to ask. Good luck.

Yup.I guess I,m old fashioned,I like having it in my hands. also reading the magazine test reports,It kind of takes Me back..
I lived out in country,So waiting for the UPS truck, and after reading and drooling over the magazines articles, every detail was a picture in my head,And then there it was,all bright and shiny...
Thanks,and Happy Hunting,Mont

Hey Mont, yea I know exactly what you mean. I still live out in the country...and still wait on the UPS truck. <laugh> In fact...waiting on one today. Got some stuff coming. A brand spanking new waterproof Vibra-probe. Wanted one of those for the longest times. Finally could get one, got a 580 coming. I got a garret pro-pointer but its not working right so sending it back to them to fix. The vibration part only works sometimes...and have to tap it to get it to kick in. The light and buzzer work, but that doesnt help much with my earphones on.

You are like me...I like to have the book in hand to read. Reading a printout is only a second best. Not the same. I have a bunch of Treasure and Old West stories magazines from back in the 40's, 50's and 60's. Got hundreds of them. Make for nice reading by the fire on cold winters nights. Or by the campfire out in the woods.

Take care
Dennis
