Detector Pro PI vs. ???

I see the new Detector Pro PI gets 15" on a nickle.
Very impressive. How does that compase with the BeachScan, Deepstar, Aquastar and the modified version of the White's PI?

Possibly the DetectorPro Headhunter Pulse PROTOTYPE got 15" on a nickle. The detector isn't on the market yet because they can't seem to get the production models to perform the way the prototype did. I have lost my patience and enthusiasm with them and went out and bought the Garrett Mark II which I am very happy with, esp. the 10"x14" elliptical coil it now comes with.

I can certainly understand the loss of patience, and enthusiasm. Getting going with this unit has been a long up hill struggle with all the supply problems. I

I have personally had problems with detectors and I have been very fortunate to have extremelly honest dealers to work with and worked the problems out with me, Bill is one of them and I do appreciate him, he tried harder than anyone I know on any of these forum to tell what he knows and has found as the truth...
I have been around long enough to watch, see, read the guys who "hype" the machines, there are a number of them and several companies, dealing with Bill Crabree is "not" one of them. I have already pre-purchased a HH PI and am waiting for the unit to arrive. I understand that they have experienced production problems and I am extremelly glad to know that the company and the owner of the Detector Pro Company and Bill Crabtree are not willing to send me a unit before it is working exactly correct and is living up to the preformance of the prototype. It may be late arriving to me but I know it will be made as a quality piece of equipment that will be working as promised and if not they will take care of it. I am buying with confidence in the equipment and the people who are making and selling it.
I am paying the same price as offered to you for the unit and I too wish it were here already....

Great replies guys. I certainly wasn't knocking Mr. Bill. My only gripe was the long delay in getting the product to the consumer. I am not a hobbyist but depend on metal detectors to make my living. The advance word that I got about the Headhunter from both Mr. Bill and Detector Pro was very promising. I was prepared to buy 6 straight away for my business. However, the treasure diving season has started in Florida and I had to have something. The Garrett doesn't get the depth and sensitivity to gold I was looking for but it is rugged, fairly inexpensive and most importantly, available.
I know exactly who Mr. Bill was refering to when he mentioned "other companies that put an untested machine on the market and let the new buyers be the guinea pigs." Good to know Detector Pro isn't one of them.
Regards, Pete

You're a "Stand up" fella in my neighborhood. I will bet your customers think so also...Appreciate your reply....Frank

Pete... What kind of depth do you get with the 10" x 14" coil?
