Thank you!!! for help but it looks different that the one that I have.

Clarostat is actually made by/for Honeywell. Here is a link to a spec sheet, see if it is what you have (it should be).... I used to have to buy electronic parts for where I worked, always check for cross reference sheets/books to see if another company makes a similar product.... so my google search included the words "cross reference".

This link:

actually has two places to check down on the page.....hope this leads you in the right direction.

Frank...The data you are quoting relates to the SWITCH rating part of the pot.

The most important data is the potentiometer's RESISTANCE.....should be there on the side of the pot....in K. ohms.

eg...5k pot or 10k pot etc...with an on/off switch, rated as you've quoted[.

Hope that helps....matt/u]

Frank,

What do you mean your switch broke? Can you be more specific? This control consists of both an on/off switch located at the back and a potentiometer, also called a pot.

One problem with these old switches is the on/off switch will fail to make up. So, the detector won't turn on. If this is the case, then try spraying WD 40 into the back of the pot where the switch is and try turning it on and off a few times. I have been able to get most of my old switches to work using this method.

If it doesn't work, let us know what the pot does. Is it the delay? If so, the pot is a 10K. If the control is the threshold, then the pot value is 50K.
