Deus 5.21 upgrade attempt and it can't see the coil

Hello all,

I've had my Deus setup for a couple years, and have upgraded along with each step through 3.x, with no problem. I purchased a HF elliptical coil last year 5"x9"(?), which also worked fine before the update. This evening I had everything charged up and I upgraded to 5.21. I had the original LF round coil setup as the functional one in my remote when I went through the upgrade, but even after the long countdown, it could never locate this coil. The remote and W5 headphones updated fine. I tried a couple more times, but no joy. I went into the remote and deleted the serial number for the original coil, and then added it back, but again no success. I set my remote to my HF coil, and it worked fine without any upgrade (I've read later that this would be expected).

I'd really appreciate any assistance anyone my provide.

Cheers in advance,

Lee

I don't know, but the instructions I got said to plug in the coil to the charger and have it fully charged. I did not leave it plugged in and had no problems. i think it is a mistake to leave it plugged it.

Thanks for the info and suggestion. I left my LF coil and remote on the charger last night, just to make sure they were both topped off, so I could try again fresh this morning. I brought my remote and LF coil in to the computer after reading your suggestion, but when I turned the remote on, dang if the LF coil didn't immediately connect up to the remote. Last night, while I had the LF coil's serial number chosen, the remote's screen displayed "No Coil". So I'm guessing the LF coil must have accepted the update at some point, but the indications on the computer specified it could never communicate with that coil. I just confirmed the remote is running 5.21, so I turned off the remote and brought up the W5 headphones, which also showed 5.21, and they too linked with my LF coil. This is very strange but I'm extremely happy my LF coil is working, as I was already wondering if I'd have to either send it in for repair, or purchase another. Perhaps the LF coil just needed to get to 100% charge, before it rebooted and applied the transmitted update? Wish I knew for certain what caused this, but maybe this scenario might still help someone else along the way.

Cheers,

Lee
