Deus coils

This has probably been asked before but I didn't see it.---How many ounces weight difference is there between the 9" & 11" coils?--------Thanks, Del

Very minimal. I started out using the 9" and really didn't notice the difference. I now swing the 11" exclusively. As Andy said, "It's a game changer!"

The more I read about this 11" coil, the more I get angry about my dealer changing my initial mind about getting the 11" coil. Granted, I do want it for the trashier areas... as I did keep my Etrac, but it seems like I'd still get the same separation with that 11" coil, and the added darn depth.

If guys are using a bigger coil exclusively... I guess should have stuck with my initial hunch. :veryangry:

I'd love to see some tests to see if there is any edge to using the 9" in iron.

That is all.... I do love this machine though. :)

My experience has been at about 15" you get to the point where you're not gaining depth, because of the added ground under the coil as well, but you are adding ground coverage.

If I am in heavy trash I use my 9” and I use the 11” for park or clean ground hunting. I can pinpoint much better with the 9” coil and I think it separates better in trash . Also, even though the 11” is only slightly heavier I notice a big difference when hunting for long periods of time, but then again I am getting older.

Individual users need to apply your signature line "I use what work for me". That's the key right there. No other person's settings, programs or comments should carry more weight that that simple statement.
