In the last 5 min there is a good lesson to be learned would you dig a target with a vdi of 3? I did guess what it was? watch and see! Thanks guys you all have been supportive!

That's a fantastic video, probably one of the best out there demonstrating full tone and the Deus.
And showing how the audio gives the true information.
I just love the way it changes lemons into lemonade.

Thanks that means alot coming from the Jedi Master of full tones ! lol

Great videos Calabash,
You are so right when you say most videos don't show what's going on and telling us when to dig.
Most are "Look what I found".
Don't get me wrong I love seeing what diggers are finding, just would be better to have a little more what they are listening and looking for.
Your video is showing us so much about full tones in trash.
And I wish my ground was like yours.
most of the time I need a backhoe to help me find my targets.

Thanks for the great videos

Loved the videos - normally I would have iron audio turned off an 00-20 or so notched, but your hunting method shows accurately how it goes with non-ferrous goodies hiding in the iron. If I could get my ear "tuned" to foil and dig only the deep targets life would be better, but that's the way it is I guess.

I'm hoping v4.0 will be an enhancement to what is already a fantastic machine!

I think this video proves, the best way to not dig iron is to hear it.

I cut some disc on one day on my machine and I couldnt stand it because I lost some much information of whats was in the ground ,it worries me that if you disc out to much or notch your gonna lose the (iffy) signals especially the masked targets in iron. I need to do some testing on that and see what happens.

thanks! good stuff again! appreciate the added emphasis on the Deus' audio for your examples!

The last suggestion i would add: put your settings int he video comment.....I know you go over them in the video....but it's really nice to have in writting for quick reference. I already use the same settings as you from Gary's videos, but someone along the way will surely find that handy,

The other thing that would be interesting to see is the effect of frequency on those masked targets. In other words does one frequency bring out the masked good target better than others.

been thinking about that myself about the frequencys will make one in the test garden to see. I add the settings where people could see them thanks for the imput.

I would not pass up a learning experience like that in a test garden when I could do it at that old sight. Your test garden is nowhere near as old as that old house. I am a iron trash/trash ring hunter and all I ever got out of my test garden is just general testing. When I want to know what a machine is really doing I go to one of my trashy iron places and try out my new theories as I seem to learn more. I am 72 been doing this 40 years and I have to say I love digging good stuff out of the trash and Iron trash. It is my favorite type of hunting and I always have those places all to myself. LOL BTW really liked the Videos. I kept wondering what the Deus was really like in the real bad trash and iron. That was what was really keeping me from buying the Deus. Thank you for doing the Videos they were done in a Excellent informative manner.:clapping: . I would like to see more at your old house hunting Videos. HH Jerry aka Tinfoil

Great video, thanks....

Nice laces by the way......

I love how excited you got over the great signal!

Doing the same here.. i run full tones 100% of time. To safe time on iffy signals. I try different angles and xy screen. If auido clips its junk

hmm I dont know about that what if its laying beside iron? I had a iron piece with a brass cover on it and the audio was clipped. A old padlock to be exact.

I went out for a quick half hour hunt last night to one of my old trashy 1700s spots. As soon as I heard any type of higher than iron tone, I would check it in a circular pattern like Calabash shows in video. It is very critical to hit your trashy spots at all angles. I ended up digging three musket balls on targets I would have definitely passed on in the past. I here of so many people stating to dig if you get a repeatable in two directions and that if it is not repeatable in two directions its most likely junk. The video above and through my discovery last night, this is certainly not always the case. The other thing I noticed and the video proves when the VDI bumps up around 3 to 6, definitely dig it!

I just cant wait to get back on that spot again with more time to swing,

Calabash very impressive video, one of the best I have seen. Your a natural behind the camera!

thanks ! When im relic hunting I will not spin on the target most of the time just for the video is why I did that. If it hits ONE WAY dig it. period . I have dug hundreds of non ferrous targets doing it that way and most of the time its a non ferrous target, Ive heard that bit about if it wont hit both ways its junk well not when it comes to thick iron or trash hunting. best of luck and let me know what you uncover by doing it that way.

A very good video utilizing full tones....I really like full tones with setting so I can hear the iron too. HUNT WITH YOUR EARS...forget the VDI.

In that type of iron and trash I rely on the rise in tone to alert me to the target its fast action program. Hearing the iron is a must for me as being a relic hunter it clues me in to where I need to be hunting. thanks for watching
