Maxwells were manufactured in the USA from 1904-1925.
The brand name was started as THE MAXWELL -BRISCOE COMPANY in Tarrytown N.Y. ( that tag is stamped Regalia Co. N.Y)
IN 1907 the company moved to New Castle Indiana.
In 1913 the company was reorganized as "MAXWELL MOTOR CO" and moved to Detroit Michigan
The company faced competition and financial woes....so
In 1921 Walter Chrysler took control of Maxwell Motors and it was reincorporated in West Virginia
In 1925 Chrysler founded his own company and Maxwell Co assets were absorbed by Chrysler
Maxwell cars were transformed into the new 4-cylinders Chryslers and in 1928 the Maxwell model was again reworked into the creation of the first Plymouth.
Now that's the story of the Maxwell Company...couldn't find out anythning about the badge/pendant except that the Regalia Company in New York makes banners, etc...
Hope this helps you ....it was fun researching this...I learned a lot...
