Did get a chance to go out yesterday...

Met up with a guy named Mike who also swings an ExpII. Tried a park that was once a trail to the sea back in the 1700's (to bring up supplies). Unfortunately, we didn't come up with anything although Mike dug a 10 lb piece of lead which he decided to leave. Did mangage plenty of scratches from getting into hard to reach places :) After a bit in that park, we went to another where he's picked up some silver. (some real old trees)

All in all, a nice day out. I'm sure Mike and I will get together again. I'm going to show him how to beach hunt :) I'd like to give those parks another shot too...

if one doesn't get caught by the EPA for making lead sinkers...or a lot of lead weights for Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby cars. Maybe it was the way they carried lead for muzzle loaders back in the 1700s. Maybe the local Historical Society would buy it from Mike if it was indeed such a find of historical significance.

Glad you guys had a chance to detect together and silver was found too.
Hope your next outings with Mike turn out great for both of you.

I have been replaced! :) Glad you guys had fun!
