Got a call from a woman that has lost her engagement ring. Went to her house today, and about ten minutes after I started looking I got exactly the signal that I was looking for.....a solid 6.

Does she look happy?

It was a 14K white gold band with claw mounted ice.

Her house was built in 1969, so it holds little interest for me, but.....
Her folks live closer to me than she does.
They live in an 1870's brick house.
And ther dad lost his wedding ring some time ago. So....:bouncy:

and for putting the smile back on that lady's face. That is the best reward we could ask for! Nicely done. HH Randy

That's just great....hats off to you!!....We find so much that we can't return,it sure does feel good to help someone out with our hobby!..Congrats!!! That Titanium ring i found last week was a solid 6TID at 4 "....but I have found a similar one to yours that was a 4/6, stone down at 2"...Was her ring a recent loss?

Congrats on the ring recovery!

Job well done. And that is a nice looking ring.

I'm sure you was smiling as much as she was. It's always fun to help somebody out when we can.. way to go.

Great job & I hope I'll get the chance to make someone's day like you did....my hats off to you.

Good job! I'd love to do that for someone but so far haven't had the opportunity.

Love it when that happens and seeing the persons smile.

Seems like you may have a few new leads to boot !

make shure you dig all the silver coins befor telling him you found the gold ring , even new houses can have old Items , as a child i hid old coins in the yard,

Thanks guys. It really wasn't a big deal, but it was fun to do. It was a recent drop, and she didn't know if it was in the grassy part of the yard or in a garden that she'd been working on. Grass will be growing here soon, and she didn't want to think about it getting hit by a mower.
I just put the Coiltek 15" HF All terrain on and turned the SENS down to 15. Then it was only a matter of getting the coil over the ring. When I hit it. it sang right out and I knew that I had it. It was standing right up on edge with the stone down in the grass where a mower would likely have destroyed it.

She kept my number, so I hope to hear from her folks at some point. Her Mom was there when I found the ring, so that may help my chances.

Way to go! Having experienced that myself a few times, it's a great feeling for both parties. No better way to promote the hobby.... we're not those nerds looking for pennies on the beach!
