I knew this older man who used an old Fisher 1265x with a little 8 inch coil, he could make some of the best finds, I paid attention when he spoke. Haven't seen him in awhile, I wonder.
 
honestly felt I picked up more in that 8 hour day than I had in the last few years.

I truly feel like I could have taken off his coil...painted a paper plate black...then stuck it on the end of his machine without him knowing it:cool:...and he would have STILL found silver:clapping:

He opened my eyes to different signals and to what a good coin sounded like mixed in with crud. :thumbup:

He also cussed me when I found my first halfdime:biggrin:
 
I will second that Bryce.

Golddigger was the first person to teach me how to really understand what the Explorer is saying. A few hours with him put me years ahead on my learning curve.
