Mike Chgo area

a time. Went back to my silver spot yesterday. Hunting slow and hard to pin point with a lot of junk in the ground. The river does flood that ground once in a while. Got a 1914 Wheatie with no mintmark:cry: and a 1919 Wheatie. Also got a 1918-S Merc and a 1925-P Merc which is in great shape. Went out to another forest preserve today with 3 guys from the shop. I got a 1917-Merc in good shape and that was the only silver found. It was some hard hunting due to stickers and a lot of brush. That area sure has grown up a lot since I hunted there last. One area we have hunted there was fenced off for conservation due to erosion problems but still plenty of area to hunt. It was a little cool but the sun was out and not too much wind but it is clouding up now with some sprinkles here and there. Hope all are doing well. God Bless.

Glad you could get out and find silver! Hard work does pay off at times! One of our club members used to go to Imperial, MO and hunt an old area that is all gown up with brush now! He has found some nice finds but one time there was a drunk sleeping and he came upon him and scared both of them almost to death! An unexpected find and the drunk probably thought no one would be around in all that overgrowth and brush! :) May God Bless with good health and many finds! Amen! Ma Betty
