Any significant performance differences between the Aquastar, GP 3000 and the Infinium. Has anyone used more than one of these machines. Exactly what is API and is it really a new technology or just a rehashing of an older technology. Any thoughts.

The Aquastar is not in production any more. When it was being manufactured it was the perhaps the most powerful, gold jewelry sensitive water detector ever build.
The GP 3000 is a nugget hunting detector, totally different design criteria. Presently considered by many nugget hunters to be the one to use.
The Infinium I would say fit’s somewhere in the middle. Not a super gold jewelry water detector, and not the ultimate nugget unit. This may sound like the Infinium is bad, but no way is it. It’s a good unit, but you plunked it down in the middle of the two extremes of PI detector’s.
