Diggindirt how is the Excelerator test going

It seems the Excelerator coils are not available in Australia, any one coming out for a visit might do ok with one or two in their luggage if your test gives good results.

Hello John, I have been very busy doing some needed work around the house and not getting to detect too much. However, I did get to use the coil a few times and like it. I found it to work pretty well around trash with decent target separation. I ran the machine in an area with lots of junk (building trash from the 1950s, aluminum, wire, etc....) and was able to pluck some old dimes and pennies from the site. I was able to do a faster sweep as the DD coil is picking up less signals with the coil size. Remember, I'm still new with this machine in learning the sounds and settings with it but I'll keep you posted as I learn more. I did find with the learning curve that I am able to hear the signals better due to the reduced coil size. I also like pinpointing with this because of the same thing. I found I'm picking up signals at around 4" to 7" but we had lots of rain and the ground was muddy and soft. I just got a Sov because the kid wants to join me in my hunting (not happy just digging) . So I'll be spending some time learning that too. Great hunting to all!!!
