Digital reading

I have been hunting for several years and use digital over smart find cross hairs. I am beginning to doubt myself on #8 as most all the time it is a pull tab. I read a lot of posts on here and other treasure sites about finding coins and valuables that sound like pull tabs. If I hunt a trashy park I ignore # 8 on digital but if it is private property I would probably dig it. Just would like to know any ones thoughts on that subject.

what do you find at 8. i found more nickles when using digitsl than i do now using the crosshairs but they were always at 6.

I find pull tabs @ 8 and nickels @ 6 or 7

Unfortunately #8 is usually a pulltab but then again using various machines over the years have found some nice gold rings just above nickle and #8 is just that...

Guess thats why gold rings are so hard to find on land as many tabs -foil and junk imitate them.

Gold rings are mixed with so many metals one could easily walk over one thinking it a tab, but then again in some of the parks I hunt would never get off my knees if I dug all the tab readings...

That's good advice, I'll dig those tabs untill I find something different.

most of the gold rings i find would show 9, 10, or 11 on the cond side. For me there seems to be a clearer tone to them that is very distinct. Also i find they dont bounce around as much as a tab does for me.
