Hi Guys,
Using a Quattro here in Australia screw caps fall at 34-35 right on $1-$2 coins. Can you guys using different audio on the explorers tell the difference between 1h cent zinc cent and a screw cap.Or a Eisenhouer dollar and a screw cap.To me if you cant then the discrimination on the explorer is no better than the Quattro. Same as with pulltabs, they fall right on our 5cent-10cent-20cent you can knock most of them out its the same for you guys with your coins and tabs.I am looking towards the new EXPLORER SE but if it is only lightness, balance, pinpointing, and a bit more sensitivity it is not helping in the discrimination side of things. So what do you guys think.
Regards Pinpointa Down Under. :minelab:

Hi
There's the numbers for the most common Australian coins.

Explorer 2 coin numbers

Penny 03 29
2 cents 03 29
Half Penny 02 29
Florin 00 28
1 cent 06 28
screw cap 07 27
$1 06 27
$2 07 26
Sixpence 07 24
50 cents 08 20
20 cents 08 12
10 cents 10 06
5 cents 11 02
twist top 01 02

As you can see the Explorer gives four digits for each target. The screw caps are very close to the the $1 and $2 coins. Some of the screw caps depending on how they are squashed and their size will give the same number. The one cent coins always climb a bit higher on the scale 06 28. A dollar will never go that high.
Hope this helps.
