I found the article Mike Hillis did on audio boost, where do you
run disc at in audio boost mode? Does anybody have recommendations for disc settings

Just wait and use the thing for a while..read all of the other F5'ers posts you can...as well as the owners manual..then, who knows? you may stumble upon some sort of settings that really work well in a particular area or situation that you can share with your brothers. You should be proficient right out of the box with general purpose settings for a while...dont over think this..I know its tough! Theres enough posts here that should keep you consumed for quite a while, you may even see the answers to your questions in there as well. Here, look at this...I found it about 3 mos into my detecting career not knowing a dang thing! Didnt even know how to ground balance!

I always run the disc at 3-5 set manually, same when trying the enhanced audio trick!

Hey guys I got my f5 a a few weeks ago and the only thing I've discriminated out is iron and noticed even with it notched out I still get the iron grunt don't know if that's normal or not but have noticed some targets will give good high tone and then a grunt will chime in and I have noticed if I dig it its usually junk so I have been passing over most I get like that just hope I haven't been passin up any gold or silver all other signals I've been digging though. still learning though as you guys are happy huntin
