when I was in the hospital the other day I learned that patients with HIV or even full blown AIDS do NOT have to even tell the hospital or the workers caring for them. I think that is crazy, we are there to help them and have to run the risk of possibly getting infected if we get stuck by a needle in surgery or if our gloves rip etc....because the Gov't gives them the right to NOT have to tell us????

That makes me VERY VERY uncomfortable. Why does the gov't continually protect the minority even though it may harm the majority?

Just Because The Federal Government Issued Such An Order Doesn't Necessarily Make It Morally Right. This Is But One Issue of Many Where The Federal Government Is Lacking In Sound Moral Judgement. And How Many Know Why These Kinds of Laws Stay On The Books, As It Were? It's Simple Really; Because The American People, Either In Whole or In Part, Don't Take An Active Roll In Government. Many Simply Think Someone Else Will Do It or That Their Congressman or Congresswoman Is Morally Upright And They Will Take The Necessary Steps To Make Things Right. So, If It's Up To Us, Why Aren't We Doing Anything About It???

Once upon a time they quaranteened very ill people with dangerous diseases and those with the German Measles had to stay in a dark room for quite a while to keep from spreading them to other children....not no more....vaccinations for everything and if you get sicker and/or die....Tough says those who know better than the citizens do! The reason why medicine and medical is so high and is going broke is because of those with HIV take very expensive meds and end up in the hospitals that is mostly paid by us because they are so ill! Cut out this rediculous thinking and use common sense and we all will be better off! Sin begets sin and the world takes care of their own with our money paid by force with income taxes and etc. Also there is a lot of cheating going on all over the US which takes money out of Medicare and Medicaid that shouldn't go to them if the gov't would do their jobs like they should! Grrrrrr! :sad:

P.S. That doesn't mean I disapprove of the ones who do get free meds and etc. for diseases they have no control over, like those who do cause their illnesses by sinning and told not to but do it anyway! Christians have always taken care of those who are poor or have something happen in life that they cannot prevent! God blesses His own and His own help those who can't help themselves through His blessings upon us! Amen! God Bless! Betty
