hear about the trip you and Joan took this weekend! I posted a note for you here on the forum to let you know I was thinking about y'all over the weekend! Now, I'm waiting to hear all about what you saw, bought, and did, on your yard sale weekend.

How is the knee doing now?

Sorry it has taken so long to reply to your post, Lisa. Joan and I had a good time at the yard sales. We started near Richmond, Indiana and headed west on Route 40. We drove about forty miles or so, stopping at almost every sale we saw. There did not seem to be as many vendors set up as last year, but found some buys. I collect history and military books among other things, and found a couple of those. Got a dog crate for our pug dog Otis, as he needed more room to relax. Picked up some tools for my woodshop. Joan picked up some jewelry and some prissy pottery. We would like to spend three days next year and cover alot more ground. We did not get up there until around ten in the morning, and it took us until around four in the afternoon to cover those forty miles. Afraid if you don't stop at one sale you might miss something good. Did not see one item related to Metal Detecting. Went to a yard sale that had a detector posted in ad. Got there about half hour late. It was a Whites, in the box, used three times. The man sold it for $25. I was a day late and a dollar short on that one.

Glad y'all had a good time and found some neat stuff. Sorry you missed out on the metal detector!

Prissy pottery? Hmmmmmm... don't think I've ever heard of that type of pottery before! Ha! I collect old utilitarian pottery from Alabama (especially Sand Mountain), and from North Georgia. Churns, milk pitchers, cream risers, jugs, storage jars, and things like that. My house is absolutely overflowing with the stuff. I reckon I don't have any prissy pottery!

What kind of history books did you find? You're talking my language now, ya know!
