Do they make a "manly" shaft for the Explorer?

Can one get a longer lower shaft than the factory original? I find myself running my SE Pro all the way extended, but leaning forward to get the coil a comfortable distance from my feet. After a few hours like this my back is usually killing me. Is anyone else having trouble with this? Heck, I am 5'9", not freakishly large by any means, but just cant seem to get the coil out there where I want it even while holding the detector at the bottom of the handhold. HH Joe

What you need is called an Explorer tall man lower shaft. I had the same problem you mentioned and the extra few inches makes a world of difference. They are available at most online detector stores that carry Minelab products.

I notice the one for my E-Trac and I think the SE Pro are longer than the EX II shaft, but not as long as the tall man shafts, kind of in between size. It dont show anything on my list, but wonder if Minelab has updated the stock shafts to make them slightly longer by about a inch or inch and a half.
