does anyone know how? I got one on ebay and it's in rough shape, so I hate to have to pay Mr. Bill $70. pus shipping both ways to do it for me.The detectors not worth that much, if it was i'd just send it to him gladly.I'd sure appreciate your help. I'd like to try it so that I will know if it improves it enough to satisfy me.Thankyou Chuck
 
Hi Chuck,
Provided the Surfmaster is working OK and has not been flooded then the outlay to have it converted professionally would soon be repaid in increased finds. The small circuit board is tricky to work on and I have heard of a few people that have damaged the fine tracks when doing it themselves.

2 already upgraded units coming to me now, that I bought tonight on a used m.d. board from Ronald Keeney.He had Mr. Bill do them both.So, I will just sell my unupgraded surfmaster when I compare these 2 with it.Thanks for your input, i'd have probably just messed it up anyway! Chuck
