Does anyone have the sunray 5.5 inch coil for the explorer?

I already have a joey coil (5x10)...would it make a big difference to get this coil for really trashy old home sites? I always heard on the oval coils you add the two measurements together and divide by two to get the size of the coil if it were round (5+10=15 /2 = 7.5)

Is it worth it to buy the 5.5 inch too? Maybe go with the really small oval excellerator coil?
