Does anyone have thought, and facts on the Garrett 1350?

Yes it is, works quite well and the profiling saves digging a lot of junk.
Bill

Both W&E Treasures and Lost Treasure magazines have field tests.

W and E, I get the white house???
How much better do you feel the 1500 is over the 1350?
Garrett's says not a big difference when I talked to the girl there.

I did the field test report for Lost Treasure (will check to see why it's not posted yet) and was quite surprised at the GTP 1350's performance.
The new RHino coil is a big improvement both in terms of detection depth and stability as compared to the Crossfire coil when in rough terrain; i.e., when bumping the coil.
The profiling on the GTP 1350 takes a bit to get used to as compared to the 1500 / 2500 which profile all the time. The other nice piece is tha the GTP 1350 can use ANY stock GTA coil to profile rather than having to buy an imaging coil like you have to on the 1500 / 2500 detectors.
Let me know if I can answer any specific questions on the GTP 1350 for you . . .

Hey Bruce,
Did you miss the boat? Maybe I did not understand what you were refering to? I have been registering in the Lost Treasure on line mag since the first of Oct. (Register to win a 1350) The field report is right there too.
Let us know.

Do a "google" search for - Garrett 1350 field test - and you can read the Lost Treasure article. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> Bill

What do you mean get used to compared to the GTIs? I can understand how the GTIs work with three coils, one transmit and two receive, that's what I've read, but can't understand how the 1350 works with one coil, or are there two. I've had one GTI 2500 and two 1500s. Finally got too heavy. I'd like to have a 1350 because of the cans. Does it really work? Thanks! Jerry.

The difference between the GTP 1350 and the GTI 1500 / 2500 in terms of the Profiling or Imaging feature is that the profiling is toggled on / off on the GTP 1350 versus being on all the time on the GTI detectors. While you can hunt with the profiling on on the GTP 1350, it pretty much kills the Bell Tone ID feature which is a nice plus on the Garrett's.
After a little time in the field you get used to toggling out of the profiling mode when you continue on after recovering a target.
The profiling mode is on the same touchpad as the Pinpoint option is so when you press and hold the touchpad to pinpoint targets and read the target depth, you wind up being activating profiling when you release the touchpad. Then, you simply need to press the Profiling / Pinpoint touchpad once to exit profiling and re-activate the Bell Tone circuit.
Hope this didn't confuse things . . . . .

Yeah it works Jerry but different than the GTI's with imaging. The profiling is displayed while scanning rather than when you pinpoint, in which case you would need that second receiving coil. The 1350 has the standard one transmitter-one receiver. Hope this explains it.
Bill

You confused me Andy. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> Hope all your finds are gooduns.
Bill

There is a difference. The GTI gives you five image readings the 1350 gives you three. Imaging is activated and displayed when pinpoint is pressed and held. Not so on the 1350 as it doesn't have the extra receiving coil to operate imaging so profiling is attained by scanning within a given parameter.

That's the one. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

I was getting confused from some of the posting.
I'm still new at this sport...
Thanks everyone..

With the 1350 what the max depth you think you get with this machine on a quarter, dime and do you think the ID will be equal to the depth????

I'm not Andy but depth is a fleeting term and depends on many things and no one can predict the depth for your area and circumstances. Since the 1350 is the 1250 with profiling the depth will be similar ID depends on the same set of rules.
