Does anyone know how much it's going to cost for the upgrade on the new f75 ltd is going to be ? Also I still have 4 years warranty .

There is already a link up on this forum that will lead you to the upgrade page!

Can anybody out there explain what these items are and what would I be getting for my money? Just trying to see if I would even use the upgrade.

The DST I think is pretty much to help with EMI

Ron in WV

DST (Digital Shield Technology)
FA (Fast Process)
4 levels of FE Tone
Adjustable Audio Pitch
LCD Serialization

DST reduces EMI
FA mode is much faster responding - but has less depth than DE
The new tones are different levels of volume for the iron grunt

The 3 year warranty extension would give yoy a 7year transferrable warranty

Performance wise, if you have no problems runnung at 99 sensitivity in Boost Process - you might not notice much difference except for FA if you work a lot of iron trashy sites.

It will probably make it easier to sell your detector for a bit more money if you decide to do so.

In my area I can only run sens.. to around 65 -70 , after that it chatters to much it drives me nuts. I think the upgrade will help very much. Thanks for all the info. GS

My place is in a neighborhood with all underground utilities, the 60 hz supply,s harmonics make even tame detectors sound like a Wermacht MG-42 holding off the Russian hordes. The modified F-75 will run at 99 sensitivity in discriminate mode easily. In all metal, I need to shuffle through the frequency shift to find a quiet slot. The FA mode is very sensitive to EMI, but i can get it to settle down with a bit of fiddling.

All this in DST, without (that is in 9.0 vs 9.1 software selected) it is a bit nosier.

Craig,

Mine was kind of in between. Something old, something new. Can't say more. It will be interesting to see the results others are getting when they are more widely distributed.

Do you have one you want to upgrade or are you considering buying one?

Either way there will be olenty of feedback,on this forum to help you make up your mind once new units and upgrades are out there.
