Does anyone know how well the T2 handles the harshest of mineralized soils...like the red ground in Virginia?

I used my T-2's near the Brandy Station area fairly soon after they came out and I thought it did a whale of a job in all metal. With it's iron and phase readings, I knew exactly what I was dealing with in the constantly changing ground conditions. It was about as challenging as it gets at least by my experience. It varied from red to purple. 
Rebalancing every couple steps (manually, not grab) especially if changing elevation. 8" was about all I could get on a cuff button. I don't know if that was the limit or if it's just the way the targets I went over worked out. I had a version 5 and 6 there and although they both got equal depth of detection, the 5 actually ID'd deeper. I have no way of knowing if that was normal or just how my two were. I also used another non-metered detector that had a threshold based manually GB'd all metal mode and it did quite well also.
