Does Anyone use the 10x14 Double D on the 1350?

If so, what are your observations. I have the 9x12 and I want to get the 4.5 and maybe the double D if anyone can tell me if it's worth the extra $$? Thanks so much.:garrett:

I have used it on occasion. I have a beach which is high on alkaline, and it seems to punch through pretty good. I have also used it on regular beaches....it did fine. Bottle caps sound like coins, but they do pretty well on all DDs.

If you have mineralized ground the DD is fine. If not the 12-incher will get you the depth and ground coverage you want. The DD doesn't discriminate like a concentric and loves bottle caps.

I don't have the 1350, but my favorite search coils are the double "D"s. With that 10"x14" double "D" search coil, you'll have fourteen inches of ground coverage at depth from toe to heel of the coil as opposed to a tapered down coin sized hit of a concentric coil. Yeah, a concentric gets more depth in non mineralized ground, but I'm willing to give up a little depth in order to not have any "blank" spots missed by the conical penetration of a concentric coil. Most all of the ground that I hunt in is mineralized anyway, so the doudle"D" gets better depth, too. One thing that I can tell you about that 10"x14", it's gonna make that machine really front heavy. I use a bungee/chest harness when I use mine with the 2500. Master Hunter is so well balanced that a bungee is not needed when using larger coils. Then again, just to start off with, you may want to just get that sniper. Those things are killer in trashy areas and will get you those targets missed by larger coils. They get really good depth too, for being so small. Best of luck to ya whichever accessory coils you decide to get for your machine.:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)
