Does the pi machines discriminate?

Digger70pa

Ive heard that the GPX machines discriminate out iron. I'm a CW relic hunter & just wondering. I've also been told of the depth advantage they give. I wouldn't be in to digging a nail at 15" though. Any input would be appreciated.

No one will help?

You would best consider PO detectors as "dig-it-all" detectors. However, the Minelab models from SD2200 on offer a ferrous "iron blanking" circuit that can help with shallow ferrous targets. It does not work on deep targets. The audio tones can be used to a certain degree to cherry pick targets but it is a risky proposition at best.
