Recently I put up two posts entitled, "Does This Shock You" & "DTSY #2". In reality, both posts show the same thing.
I am putting this post on both of those threads, so no need to read it twice if you are following both discussions.
In one post, a baby declared to be "disabled" by the speaker who said she would put a pillow over its face; a gentle way to describe murder.
In the other, "disabled thinkers" are blown to pieces by quietly speaking assassins.
Many people really do posses the attitudes expressed in these videos, and have always done so. We all know something of Hitler; less know about Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot and others, but all were following the ideas expressed in these two videos. Their thinking resulted in the deaths of millions of innocent people.
Today, certain groups see themselves as wiser than the rest of us. They believe themselves to be the informed elite. They believe that their "wisdom" must be made to prevail, even by force if necessary, for the rest of us are ignorant. They KNOW what is best for mankind and they must bring it about by any means. Anything, be it true or false, that helps bring forward their agenda is acceptable.
These videos merely illustrate their thoughts. These people are so out of touch with reality that they express their ideas in this way, and are then totally surprised by the reactions of we lesser beings. This confirms in their mind that we are indeed foolish people and still do not understand.
The outcry caused the withdrawal of their videos, but they do not change their minds. They will keep at it until we lesser beings are re-educated or ... well, who knows what they may do to us?
The problem is that this sort of person is gaining political power in our western world (not just the USA) and will lead us to ever increasing darkness.
"Senior Seeker" writes on one post: "'We The People' have set idly by and done nothing to avoid it. Shame on us." I am not sure that we have done nothing, but we certainly are called to be light and salt in this wicked world and we must all question ourselves in this regard.
Frankly, I don't know what to do other than to pray that the Lord will raise up a voice crying in our wilderness. May there be a spiritual awakening in our western world that is post-Christian at best. Europe appears from afar to be almost pagan, Australia is hardly any better and, to a foreigner looking on, the USA seems to be abandoning the Gospel that is the very root of its strength.
Is there another Billy Graham in the wings somewhere and about to be revealed? I do hope and pray so. May the Lord raise up a godly voice. May we recognise that "voice" as being from Him, and not condemn it because it does not totally agree with our limited understanding of God's way, with our ingrained prejudices and tastes.
