Here in northern Michigan we got hit with about 8 inches of snow with more coming. Done for the year here too. At least we can look at the goods that others here find, and pick up some ideas along the way.

it was spitting snow here in illinois today, but the real killer was the wind....constant 20 to 25 mph wind all day with gusts up to almost 50 mph. the wind sent the temp down to 18 degrees and the wind chill down to plus one degree with -12 degree temps over night. this old boy is done detecting for the year. time to do some research over the cold months and locate some old sites for the warm weather months.

I agree that it's research time. Already figured out 2 sites where there could have been old farm houses with Google Earth. The weather folks are calling for strong gusts up to 40mph tonight and tomorrow. Might be time to think about moving south. :surrender:

Im also in PA, up in Erie. I just put my detector away for the season. I also will take this time to try and find some old foundations etc to hunt when the weather breaks.
