I went out today and found 3 times the amount of coins you found, but mine totaled less than 3 US dollars... Curious, how many of those Aussie dollars did it take to purchase your F2?

I paid $215 US plus about $38 US postage for a F2 with the 8 inch and 4 inch sniper coil. So $253 US. with exchange about 91 cents to the dollar. Therefore about$ 280 AUD. If they were all ones I would need 280 coins. If they were all twos I would need 140. coins. Using the "Finds Ratio" of twos to ones as 3:2 equates to a "Dollar Ratio" of 6:2............. 6+2=8..............
$280/8=35..............35x$6=$210............35x$2=$70............$280. Convert back to "FindsRatio" 35x3coins + 35x2coins = 35x5 coins= 175 COINS
as posted previously Australia deleted one dollar notes in1984 and two dollar notes some time after 1988 (I can't remember when) and replace both with an equivalent coin

U done good, I like mine, It works real well, like the detector, but actually I'm not too wild bout the new fisher company, but the detectors seem to work well.

Curious as to what you don't like about First Texas??? Customer service, detectors, engineers, warranty or something else????

I just liked the Old Los Banos folk better, could call em talk to em, they'd send m' stuff to me, even gave me a new detector one time, knew a few of the folk, but they fell on hard times, then the Bounter Hunter folk/ First Texas/Teknetecs/Radio Shack company bought em, took over or whatever- I dunno, just liked the other folk better, alla the newer fishers i had from the new folk seem to have kinda tacky plastic lens over the LCD, and the rods got diffrint kinda anodizing, other few things, No- they makin OK detectors, I had 4 of the new First texas outfits, and I had 7 of the Los Banos outfits, just liked the old company better, new stuff seems to work fine, and most folk happy with it, mine works OK.Probly shoulda kept m' mouth shut
