Yup...it was beeeeeeeeeeeautiful out there!
Hit a beach that I had never hunted before; it's been there since the 1700's...lots of history in this beach area.. decided to try it out.....no one around...quiet...relaxing
had to step in knee -deep snow to get to the beach, but it was worth it.
Here's pics of today's finds
"Wheatie" is 1950
Found the ring in a trough...about 6" deep...very old ring; it was so thick with tarnish and brown sediment, I wasn't sure of the metallic content until I cleaned it up.
The ring tested + silver with acid test kit.
I know that the large brass item is an oar holder..but I have no idea what the other brass item is..the center twirls around rapidly when flipped .
Can anyone help with an ID of this mystery item...much appreciated
thanks for looking
