Draining a lake

shooter

Member
Draining down one of the lake in my town, worked out to be a good 3 hours, 85 coins, Silver necklace, and 1 ring (14K).

WTG Shooter! No silvers in all of those coins!? Is this a new lake and do they drain it every year? Wasn't it like quickmud out there? Tell us more about this lake!! I guess you will be going back, <g>!

Nice finds Shooter. A drained or lowered lake can be a bonanza for coins and jewelry. Depending on the bottom, can be a little mucky, though. WTG! HH jim tn

Nice ring! I think I'd work as much of the area where people enter the water as I could. Terrific opportunity!!

This lake beach club has been here since the 30's, when they lower it you can walk out about 50yards and a 100 yds to the left and right, big area. not much Silver coins left, I've been doing this lake since I started in the 70's, got tons of stuff when they lowered it, 1978 was the first time they ever lowered, never stopped digging, now they only lower it every3 or 4 year so people can fix there docks. But it puts more back for me to find. no muck in this lake, off the shore to 25' out 8"sand the rest hard clay with a few inches of sand, did it for so long just about all the old trash is gone, so it makes it easy to go over.

WTG Shooter enjoy......hh.........Daniel Davis
