Although some area's right in and around my home base have received some much needed rain in the past couple of days, one of my favorite spots seemingly hasn't received any, but I have continued to frequent it this week. As a result I have been able to make some nice silver finds as well as putting a hole in one of my Columbia digging shoes from pushing my Predator Little Eagle into the hard ground. I opted out of digging in soft ground this morning with a couple of buddies and went back and hunted on a large field that has produced numerous silvers and wheat cents over the past few months. And, I am glad I did. I only dug 7 or 8 targets in total this morning, but 4 were silver. A sterling Religious medal, a 62d Rosie, (very 1st target dug) and a 23 and 44 Merc's. Earlier in the week I was hunting side walk strips around an old housing site and nailed a 43 Washington and 2 other Merc. dimes. A 20d and a 24d. Also got the no date Buffalo nickel, smashed gold plated ring and the U S Navy Honorable Discharge pin. Mid week I did a little clad popping one afternoon and got the 14k gold band beside a soccer field. All in all, the F 75 LTD has served me nicely this week. Hunting the side walk strips I had on the 5" coil and ran in de mode, sen 70, disc 7 and 4h tones. Today hunting the big field I had on the 11" dd coil, de mode, sen 85, disc 7, 3h tones and a g b of 74-77. HH jim tn
