It is silver dollar sized in diameter and made of bronze. It is a souvenir of the New Cathedral in St. Louis which was completed in 1908.The Cathedral is well known and I can find tons of info about it.I haven't been able to find any info on sovenirs issued to celebrate its completion in 1908.Anyone have any ideas as to the value of this piece?Anyone know who the two figures shown on the front were?

..GW BUSH & JOHN KERRY
Ooops, I think I'm on the wrong forum! <img src="/metal/html/blush.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":redface"> <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
Gosh, Dan is this all still coming from that field of yours? <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Is Bush the one on the right? LOL.
Same farm I have been diggin' for the last several years.I honestly don't believe you could clean it out in a life time.
The keepers have started to slow down a little. When I first discovered the site it wasn't unusual to bring back 30-40 keepers in a day.I have dug nearly 200 barber coins from the site.In a good day now I can usually count on about 1 decent find per hour of detecting.I usually dig only the "good" signals.Havn't even started on the iffy ones yet.The area is full of trash-but it is OLD trash.I have yet to dig anything from the site that was produced after 1920.It is my goal to dig a gold coin from this site.I HAVE dug a couple of gold pocket watches,a gold locket, and a couple of gold rings.I KNOW that a gold coin is out ther somewhere....Just haven't put my coil on top of it yet!

I've had the feeling about that place since you first mentioned it, that there is a gold coin there as well.
Wanna try something? I've read about long range detecting, that it was used by the Spanish and others for centuries to find hidden treasure. Kinda like witching for water.
How about downloading an aerial photo of your field, and see if any of us can pin-point a gold coin for you? I haven't ever tried this before, but my grandfather and his father were famous throughout the county for their ability to find water. I understand that Kelley(Texas) has a talent as well. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
