It has been a long, long time since I've used the ole Fisher. I can't venture far from my backdoor so I just swept my yard for a few minutes to re-aquiant myself with this powerful machine. I only dug targets that locked on and dug only trash. I did find what looks like some type of old grommet from a harness or saddle maybe? It has slots on only three sides and is about 1 3/4 x 2 inches in length. Our neighborhood is on an old farm with the original farmhouse that was built in the 1890's right next door. When we first moved in about 5 years ago I found an 1887 Indian head penny in the back yard next to a 100 year old sycamore tree. And that is why I think it might be from a harness of some sort. It was about 5 inches deep.

It felt great to swing the machine again but I can see I will have to learn the thing all over again.
