E-Trac Sensitivity

unearth

Member
Hello All-
I was noticing on my E-Trac, when in automatic with +3, the reading was 19, but the bar for the machines sensitivity was very low. So...I switched to manual sensitivity and lowered the sensitivity bar to match the machines bar...and the number was 12! Should there have been that much difference? By reading the manual I thought that both sensitivity bars on the machine would be within' the + or - 3 while in the Auto Mode. Is this correct or am I missing something?
Thanks.
Gary

You will find that if you run in auto + 1 its pretty smooth and when there's only a little difference between the two bars you can knock it up to +2 or even +3 if your on good ground. The manual setting will really allow you to crank it up but be carefull as you can soon over do it and then it will start giving you false signals and over nul on iron both which will slow the machine down.

Let the machine take care of it in Auto its the best setting.

Good luck with it
