I'm putting a display together of my lettered buttons. They have the loop shank sticking out in back and I'm trying to figure out how to mount them in the frame but still have the glass on it. Any ideas ? Maybe just look for a deep frame ? thanks, Steve in so az

some type of foam that the auto mechanics use to place there tools in their tool boxes. You take that foam material and place slits, just deep enough to fit the loop shanks through. Unless you're going to display them on an angle then you would have to make a slit all the way through. The foam is not styrofoam it's softer than that and workable with a knife or scissors. I'm sure they still have it around. It's a packing material. My friends in the Air National Guard Motor Pool used it to place their tools in, they placed the tool and used a marker to draw out the pattern and then cut away. I hope this helps. As far as thickness, well you're going to have to figure that one out. But all in all it should look very nice. They might have the materials in a hobby shop or packing material store.
