Ear bud recommendations?

I'm one of those guys who dislike over the ear style headphones in the summer because they make me sweat excessively. I unfortunately have the WS5 headphones for my Deus. I bought the wired FS01 backphones from Deus, but the output seems very low -- not loud enough for my 68 year old ears. I also have a Minelab CTX-3030 and for years I've used ear buds with the WS10 module. This has worked very well, though they are almost too loud. Still, much better in hot weather.

So anyway, I thought I'd try the same ear buds with the Deus. Sadly, the output is excessively loud and harsh. From my on-line research, it doesn't appear to be an impedance mismatch as the ear buds are 32 ohm impedance just like the FS01 headphones.

So my question is: Do any of you have any experience using ear buds with the Deus, and can you recommend a brand that replicates the sound from the Deus WS4 or WS5?

I've had good luck with Sennheiser/Adidas sports earphones. They've been discontinued but still can be found new on Ebay and Google Shopping. They sound good, weatherproof, don't pull out of your ears and have a volume control. I got the PMX680
