Beale

New member
I went out very early this AM. Trying to beat the heat. Got lucky and found a silver Rosie, a Buff (either a 1928 or 29), and and old brooch. The rest was clad. Thnks for looking, Beale.

The coins are nice but, the brooch is really nice.

Thanks guys. I am not sure on the brooch? it actually was found in 2 separate parts. The center part was laying next to the metal holder. I am so glad I did not hit it? My wife (a jewelry store manager) told me the clasp is old. I just know I like it, Beale.

Wow! You were lucky to find the centrepiece in one piece. Making finds like that is what helps to keep our hobby interesting. Sapper.

does the broach looked like it is carved? if so you should be able to see little carve marks with magnification. If so it is def older, any back marks?

Congrats ont the silver, the brooch looks to be a Cammeo maybe?

My wife said it looks to be a resin? We have both looked at it under the loop. I tend to agree with her. To light to be a stone. Now was it a mold or not? I dunno, Beale.

The brooch is super nice, to me it looks like ivory. The coins are nice too!:clapping:
