]a very tiny eroded penny..not worth taking a pic of...

I got to the beach at 8:30 and about 5 minutes into the hunt , I recovered the 14K ring at the shore line.....the beach has been very eroded...very little sand left..great for detecting!

Would you believe that after continuing to detect for 3 hours, I found nothing else valuable...just pull tabs, etc., but it was beautiful out there..slight breeze..sunny .
thanks for looking

find it early so you know the hunt's a success already :) I dug 2 of my 3 gold things this morning at the first site I hit. steve in so az

Every time I hit gold or silver early that's usually it for the day:)

VERY nice ring!!! Looks pretty old.

I have hunts like that too. I hit a sweet silver coin 5 minutes into the hunt and think I'm going to have a killer day.....then nothing the rest of the day:sadwalk:

Ma Betty and all: the close up shot makes the ring look big, but in fact , it doesn't even fit all the way on my smallest finger.. it has the exact circumference of a dime, but it is heavier than the dime.

Lorraine, it probably is a small child's ring and was lost while wading in the water or walking on the beach! The children at the Elementary School where I have detected lose jewelry, I found a nice silver chain and I believe with a cross at one time! I say I believe because I cannot remember for sure! One of these days I will find my book where I wrote my finds down, daily, and be able to recall what I did find and how many coins over the many years I have been :detecting: Ma Betty's memory has fled and I used to have a good one, for I made good grades when I went to school and could remember most of the things I needed to know and do when I worked! But alas those days are gone and I just pray that I am not getting Alzheimers........because that is a terrible situation to be in and not remember your own children!

God Bless!

"contained" in a tight area.....not vibrating away from the target pinpoint I was hopeful.... and then there it was in the scoop....It's a fun hobby.

Congrats to you! I like that one! :)
