looking for an earphone cable extension 1/4 inch plugs male to female, about 3 feet long. can;t seem to find one anywhere. so i can lay down the detector when i dig.

You might contact one of the headphone makers like Ralph at Sunray. Hes good people and might be able to help. I did a google and the first one that came up was sweetwater dot com looks like they might have it. I assume you checked with Radio Shack?
