Earphone follow-up

It did help to pad the earphones. I tried a soft plastic foam piece. It took the edge off of the ear shattering signal volume, but I am going to play around a bit to see if I can do better. The wild signal variations are less with the control unit shaft mounted again. I found that I had a very stable machine after I tweaked the discrimination up to three and I still was able to find an old buffalo nickle as a very weak signal . My battery's were getting weak tho and I don't know if the quietness was a result of that or not. Tomorrow is another day. Todays finds 2-nickles, 2-clad quarters, 3- clad dimes, 1- clad penney, top out of an aluminum can, 3- pieces of aluminum, 1-2" long brass screw, 1- bottle cap, 1- hair pin , and 1- nail in four hours of searching. Low tide from walking on cobble stones in 3' of water to 2' of sand in chest deep water. Most of the finds and all of the coins were in the cobbles.

HH Friends,

(No-one finds 'em all, but I'm workin on it!!!)
