Eclipse or Excelerator smail coil?

I've been using the excelerator 4.5x7" coil and just wondering how it compares to the eclipse 4x6" coil? is there that much diff to warrant my buying the eclipse coil?

Also, has anyone used the 8" exclerator coil? thoughts?

thx.

I have the White's 4x6 and love it. If the Excel is working for you then don't worry about it. On the other hand I also use the 10" Excel and love it! Remember, different coils have different applications.

My opinion (with absolute no scientific backing) is they both probably do about the same. I have th 4.5 x 7 and absolutely love it and use it 99% of the time. I also have the 8" EX and think it goes a little deeper than the smaller coil. Got the White's Super 12 a month ago but I only use it when I want to cover an area faster. I guess to answer your question, if I had one I sure wouldn't buy the other.

I have the4x6 mini dd from whites and 6"excelerator coil and i do better with the ex coil.Better sound and a little better readings on target i usually don't dig.The mini 4x6 is a good coil too just prefer the ex coil.
